Obituary For Vivian Yvonne Spencer

Vivian Yvonne Littlejohn Spencer, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Stone Mountain, GA. She was the widow of Lt. Col. Curtis E. Spencer, Sr. and the daughter of the late Rev. Johnny H. Littlejohn and Mrs. Essie Mae Brown Littlejohn.

Vivian graduated from Granard High School in 1967. She was a graduate of North Carolina A&T where she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and received her Masters in Education from North Carolina Central University. She spent her career as an educator, retiring as a Principal from the Prince George’s County, MD school system.

She was preceded in death by her son Curtis E. Spencer, Jr and sister Patricia Kennerson.

Surviving is daughter, LaChandra Spencer Washington (Charles); granddaughter, Tierra Arnold; two sisters, Alice Wilkins and Donna Littlejohn; and two brothers, Larry Littlejohn and Everett Littlejohn.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 241 Ebenezer Rd., Gaffney, S.C. 29340. Internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
