The Alexander City State Junior College National Alumni Association sends sincere condolences 💐 to the family of our brother. Alonza was one of us the proudly wore the Trojan 🏀 blue and gold . Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, he will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace !

I had the honor of meeting Alonzo ("Fire") in 1971 when we were both students at Troy State University. He was like a "big brother" to me and we have remained lifelong friends. Alonza and I have been friends for almost 20 years. I visited him for almost 20 years at Tyson Manor, which is now Diversacare. He was a great friend, we were close in age, and shared a love for family, sports and the Lord Jesus. He was my brother in Christ—Thinking of the family and praying for comfort and a treasure chest of great memories. I will miss him as you will but look forward to a joyful reunion in heaven with him one day!
