Obituary For Alphonso Jenkins
Alphonso Jenkins, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on April 10, 2025. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Morgan Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, 598 Morgan Avenue, Montgomery, AL, 36104, with Pastor Charlie Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Kindle Cemetery, Montgomery, AL with the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Jenkins will lie in repose one hour before the funeral service at the church.

My condolences to the family. So saddened to learn of the passing of Alphonso Jenkins, my classmate at Loveless, and my neighborhood friend. A quiet spirit and smart as a whip in school, especially in Mathematics where he shined so brightly. Our families were close and his family were like jewels. My prayers be with you all and just remember some day we all got to go. Sleep in peace my brother and take your rest. We all loved you but God loved you best. Patricia Shelby

I worked with Alphonso for many years at Harrison Elementary.He was a person, who would go out of his way to assist the falculty and staff at Harrison He will be greatly missed. Rest well Butch!
