To the Easterling Family: WE are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Barbara J Easterling. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and friends of the family during this time of great sadness. Today, all can relate to the pain that you are dealing with. Losing anyone in death just takes so much out of us. When this enemy death calls, we find ourselves once again shedding many tears over the loss of someone who was truly special to us. (1 Corinthians 15:26) The Bible which shows that death is our enemy, also reveals that we are near the time period when God would bring about a long await promise that He had made. That promise deals with the restoring of life back to persons that have fallen asleep in death. The promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. As the text states, that God would cause a calling to go forth to those in the grave to stand up in life again. Did you know that from this one text, that God is giving us His personal guarantee that the restoring of life would take place for a great host of people? Do you see Barbara jean, and many others benefiting from this loving promise from God? Well, it's something for all of us to think about. The resurrection back to life will certainly take place. Yes, we have God's personal promise. We also have the promise of a person that can carry out what He said that he would do. The scriptures tell us that God is the source of life for every living thing. (Psalm 36:9) From this text we come to know that even if a person dies, God has the desire and the power to restore life, and to make a person whole again. Our Creator wants all families of the earth to come to have this understanding that He would soon restore life back to those who have died. To help everyone build strong faith, He has taken the time to preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the resurrection blessing soon to take place worldwide. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I truly hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Barbara, and a great host of others in a very special way. In closing we encourage all to keep this promise of God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
