Obituary For Chalmus Wright

Chalmus Wright, age 77, of Montgomery, Alabama departed from this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born August 9, 1943 in Montgomery, Alabama. Chalmus Wright was a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the owner of CWRIGHT Contractors and served God as a faithful servant and Pastor. His infectious smile, forthrightness, and humor will always be remembered by those who knew him. Chalmus was beloved and preceded in death by his wife: Flora Wright, son: Chalmus Wright II (Joanne), Parents: Buster and Ida Mae Wright, sisters: Ida Watlington (Gene) and Gloria Williams (Robert). He is survived by 2 sons: Vincent Wright (Cheryl), Marcus Wright (Valencia), 8 grandchildren: Chalmus Wright III, Shemeka Wright Jackson (Nate), Sheketa Wright (Marquis), Vondre Wright (Diana), Yinessa Wright, Ashlyn Wright, Marcus Wright II, Chrisdion Wright, 5 great grandchildren: Ayanna Hurd, Alanna Hurd, A’Ziyah Walker, Gracie Jackson, and Emory Wright. He also leaves to cherish his memories: 2 sisters: Mary Howard (Author), Selma Wright, 1 brother: Mikal (Karen), and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside and burial service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Wright officiating. The staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Covid-19 social distancing and mandated face mask guidelines will be followed.
