I was deeply saddened to hear of Darryl's passing. We were very close friends at Carver Junior High and Carver High School, and some of my best memories from those years include the time we spent together. We were both in ROTC, and I will always remember the camaraderie, the laughs, and the friendship we shared.
Although life took us in different directions and I hadn't seen Darryl since 1983, I often wondered how he was doing and hoped that one day our paths would cross again. It's hard to accept that opportunity is now gone.
They say time and distance can separate people, but they can never erase the impact a true friend has on your life. Darryl was one of those friends, and I'll always be grateful for the years we shared.
Rest easy, my friend. Thank you for the memories and for being part of a chapter in my life that I'll always treasure.
My heartfelt prayers and condolences go out to Darryl's family, classmates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. You will be missed, but never forgotten.
My sincere condolences to the family.rest in peace Darryl.ππ
