I send my most sincerest condolences to her husband Dr.Pessoa DDS., and her children. Dr. Pessoa started out as my pediatrician and her husband was my dentist up to age 18. Her bedside manner was awesome. She was stern but fair. I hated to go see her because I knew that I would end up in St. Margarets hospital, it was because I hated the idea of being placed in the hospital but I knew that it was because I was sick and I could always count on the call to the hospital to expect me for admission. I loved the rapport that she had with my mom and I, so when I became a mom she was my children's pediatrician until her retirement and she gave me a referral to Dr. Scott. I appreciate the memories that were made and the advice from her. I was introduced to her children back then and had the opportunity to sit and watch her daughter when she went on television and started cooking. I will always remember the calls to follow up with my hospital discharge and her telling Michelle (Nurse) to call my mom and tell her to take me straight to the hospital. Dr. Pessoa was a great Physician and we don't see that anymore. To the family, I pray that God comforts you in this your time of bereavement and that you continue to hold on to God's unchanging hand. Psalms 13:18 God is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

To Winston & family, I extend my deepest sympathy. Vilma & myself were close friends from high school to HU, until she relocated to Montgomery, Alabama where we unfortunately grew apart. Rest well my friend.
