Love and miss you uncle Jimmie!!
It is with deep respect and gratitude that I remember Mr. Jim Horton. A man whose presence and guidance were instrumental during a very formidable time in my life. Though not known for his great patience, he always made time to listen, to share, and to teach through the lens of his own life experiences. His wisdom and candor helped shape the person I am today.
I particularly cherish the fishing trips we took together, the countless hours spent playing basketball in the cul-de-sac, and the many journeys to Nashville where he graciously allowed me to tag along and treated me like family. These moments weren't just fun, they were formative. They were filled with laughter, learning, and a sense of belonging that I will carry with me forever.
Mr. Horton was more than a mentor, he was a steady hand, a trusted voice, and a generous soul. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, and I am honored to be one of them.
Rest in peace, Mr. Horton. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Glenna and family, I consider myself blessed to have had the privilege of knowing you and Jim. I truly appreciate the time Jim took with Thulani - the fishing trips to Alabama, the sports, just being Jim. I am sure you all will miss him very much. Dorothy Granberry
