A Reflection of Our Grandmother and Great Grandmother
Our grandmother played a pivotal role in our upbringing in Montgomery, Alabama. More than a grandmother, she often was a bonus parent demonstrating love, compassion, lessons, blessings and teachable moments. Her home served as a foundation for family gatherings, playtime with cousins and neighbors in the community, and many meals that filled the belly and soul. As the grandchildren, we are in different phases and ages of life, but we all have a lifetime of memories from grandma's home. We pray that grandma rests peacefully in heaven and that we all have taken lessons and blessings from our upbringing to carry forward in our families. We love our grandma and we are thankful. We too pray to be grandparents one day and pass on the legacy of being a present grandparent.
Psalm 145:4 Our generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your might acts.
2 Timothy 3:14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them.
