Obituary For Ms. Jimmie Lee Felder
Ms. Jimmie Lee Felder of Montgomery, AL, passed away on April 22, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Day Street Baptist Church, 861 Day Street, Montgomery, AL, with Pastor Ronald Davis officiating. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is set for Monday, May 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. “Ivy Beyond the Wall” ceremony from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ms. Felder will lie in repose one hour before the service at the church.

Soror Jamelle: I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Mrs. Felder. I'm glad I got a chance to see her when I stopped by her home a few weeks ago. She was always very kind and on many occasions stopped by to bring homemade soup to my mother-in-law, Dorothy Thurman. May her sweet soul rest in eternal peace.
Her kindness had a lasting impact, and her legacy lives on in the lives she touched at Carver —mine included. With heartfelt sympathy and gratitude for Ms Felder who cared.
