Pringle Family Connection sent The Peace Lily for Ransom Everage Pringle - February 07, 2025
Good morning, family and friends. "I have no regrets; I've lived a good life" We gather today not just to mourn but to celebrate a life well-lived, a life that left an impact, a life that built something lasting, and a life that gave more than it took. My Uncle Ramp was a man of quiet strength, deep wisdom, and steady faith. He was a man who never needed to announce who he was, he simply showed you through how he lived.
If you knew Uncle Ramp, you knew a man who took pride in his work, in his family, and in his faith. He built things - not just with his hands as a master bricklayer, but with his actions as a brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, deacon, and friend. Whether he was laying foundations for buildings or laying the foundation for his family's future, he did it all with purpose. And he did it well.
As you know, He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army, but his service didn't stop there. He carried that same sense of duty into everything he did. As a locomotive engineer, he kept things moving. As a family man, he kept US steady. As a deacon in the church, he helped guide others toward faith and truth. He didn't just show up, he made a difference. He made a difference in my life, and he did so in so many others.
And oh, did he love a good story. Uncle Ramp could turn a simple memory into a masterpiece, painting pictures with his words that made you feel like you were right there beside him. Whether he was talking about his time in the service, a job site from years ago, he told it with the kind of warmth that made you listen, laugh, and remember. Because to him, stories weren't just words, they were history, connection, and a way to pass down what mattered.
But more than anything, Uncle Ramp believed in family. He didn't just love us; he showed up for us. He led by example through his patience, his work ethic, and his unwavering belief that doing the right thing still mattered. He didn't just talk about responsibility, integrity, and faith, he lived it.
When a man reaches the end of his days and can say, "I have no regrets; I've lived a good life", you know he got it right. Uncle Ramp left nothing undone. He gave what he had to give. And he knew that love, hard work, and faith were enough to build something that would last beyond his years.
So today, we did what he taught us to do. We carry on. We tell the stories. We hold onto the lessons. We keep showing up for one another. Because that's what Uncle Ramp did, and that's how we honor him...not just in words, but in the way we live our lives.
Rest easy, Uncle Ramp. Your work here is done, and it was good. And we will make sure your legacy lives on. God Bless!!!
