I hate that we have to bury another Irvin so soon! Uncle Ross, you will be missed! I remember the military stories that you would share with my late brother-in-law. You never ceased to call momma, just about every day, around 9ish in the morning. Although you lost your sight, a long time ago, you could give directions better than anyone with sight. You could always tell just when we were approaching a light, or when we were just about to approach a stop sign. You timed it, perfectly! R.I.P., Uncle Ross. I love you, and will miss you!
My granddad was a true definition of strength. Even without his sight, he never let anything stop him. He moved with purpose, worked hard, and always showed love to his family.
He taught me that real vision comes from the heart, not the eyes. Everything he stood for lives on in me.
Rest easy, Pop. I love you forever.
