Obituary For Sheryl Shannon Young
Sheryl Shannon Young, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on August 22, 2026.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, located at 2815 Forbes Dr., Montgomery, AL 36110, with Father Manuel Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, under the direction of the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a family hour from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Young will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

From my family to yours, we're sending our Condolences and Deepest Sympathy. Sheryl and I were Classmates, Class of '66 at Saint Jude's Educational Institute. Sheryl was a very sweet lady. We always kept in touch with each other while she was in California and even after moving back to Montgomery.
