Obituary For Thelma Johnson
Thelma Johnson, of Montgomery, AL, passed away on April 17, 2026. A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2106 Mill Street Montgomery, AL with Reverend Dr. Calvin McTier officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery under the direction of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday April 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson will lie in repose at the church one hour before the service.

Ms. Thelma .... I am going to miss seeing her sitting on the porch on Bragg Street. Most importantly I will miss that smile and our love spats about family on Sunday mornings at Bethel. Family, we are so sorry for your loss. "Miss Thelma", as she was so fondly referred to in my family was such a sweet and caring lady. Her kindness as a treasured doorkeeper and cherished member at Bethel have left an indelible mark.
