The wind beneath everyone's wings. Always there to lift you to heights enabling you to fly beyond ones imagination. She has now flown away from our hearts, but left the blueprint.
Aunt T, the last "Hollis" Sentinel of my youth, you have your, well-earned, Wings!! I love you and miss you more than words can say. I will remember, forever, that you were always a Beacon to be depended on. Strong and full of love and laughter to share. Your house, heart always open and welcoming. One of my favorite places to hang out in MI and AL!! By far, you were the bestest cook in the family, able to slap together a filling, made from the heart meal if we told you we were hungry or simply asked. Made in no time flat AND with all the trimmings! I'm sure you have a smile on your face, pep in your step and strong wings on your back to carry you to all the wonderful places you weren't able to visit....
Aunt T's light will be deeply missed. Her sense of humor and laughter were infections and she ALWAYS had a hot plate of the most soulful and delicious food ready for you. I remember her telling me that the 1 thing I better make sure to know is how to make good biscuits and then she showed me. I looked forward to her 7 layer cakes as a child and recall just being in awe of them. Her cooking is definitely something that inspired me as I could clearly see how good meals always bring people together in happy spaces. I love you Aunt T, rest easy now. Blessed be, your loving great-niece Vanessa
