That was my T-Velma and her Uncle Rube loved her dearly. As a little girl I had long soft hair and Auntie Velma was one of two individuals my mom allowed to press it. She and my mother would get caught up in a conversation and I think she would forget she was pressing my hair and bring that π₯΅ hot comb down my neck and I would say π ouch and she say sorry and keep talking and pressing. Ahhh made my prom dress, helped with 4-H club apron, and helped me make π bread and win for 4-H and so much morer. Shirley Rogers

Mrs Rogers was a Christian that had consummate culinary skills! Anyone that has ever tasted one of her meals can attest to her cooking prowess, which includes family, church members, friends and students in the Montgomery Alabama Public School System. Family, God bless you and keep you during your time of bereavement.
