Mr. Michael Jerome Harper of Detroit, Michigan Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle & Cousin born on October 12,1952 in Detroit, Michigan made his transition on Sunday, June 29,2025 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 72. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8,2025 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home 22401 Grand River Ave. (between Lahser Rd. & Telegraph Rd.) Detroit, Michigan 48219. Interment will follow at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan. Follow Delivery hours will be on Tuesday, July 8,2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

My heart is heavy knowing that the man that my children and myself affectionately called "Papa Mike" has transitioned. Dad was always a stand up guy who was always kind and sweet with his words to me and the kids. He gave great advice to me and we were able to share items amongst ourselves that kept our relationship real. Couldn't have asked for a better father figure. You are missed and always loved dad. Loving you, Nicky, Arito, Lil Robert, Chris and Gabby.
