Ms. Ethel Mae Hunter of Farmington Hills, Michigan Loving Mother, Grandmother, & Cousin born on April 4,1936 in Abbeville, Alabama made her transition on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in Farmington Hills, Michigan at the age of 89. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20,2025 Family Hour at 9:30 AM with the Celebration Of Life at 10 :00 AM in the Chapel Of Ellis Funeral Home 22401 Grand River Ave. (between Lahser Rd. & Telegraph Rd.) Detroit, Michigan 48219. Interment will follow at Detroit Memorial Park-West Cemetery in Redford, Michigan. Flower Delivery hours will be on Friday, September 19,2025 from 12 Noon to 3:00 PM.

Cousin Ethel was our secret-keeper, a loyal and faithful servant and friend to all who knew her. Ethel always offered love, validation and support without judgment, laughter without effort, and friendship without end.
She had an intuitive way of knowing when we needed comfort, courage, financial assistance, and she was always there—sometimes with advice - but mostly not.
The world feels quieter now, but her legacy is loud in the lives she touched. We honour Cousin Ethel today with gratitude and sorrow—thankful for every shared memory, and sorrowful for all we had yet to do.
This short message can't capture the fullness of her spirit, but it speaks to the bond we'll never lose. She was, and always will be, more than a cousin. She was indeed a lifetime soul companion
To my beloved Sarah Anne your mother was a great woman who will be sorely missed. She is now resting in the arms of Jesus. May GOD grant your family mercy, grace and peace. We love you all. Love Makkah and family. Amen.
