Ms. Alline Beam born April 24, 1944 in Cleveland County North Carolina; departed this life for her eternal home in Glory on February 22, 2023 at home.
She was born to the late Samuel Edwards Beam and Hattie Pauline Beam Phillips. Ms. Alline attended elementary school at Philadelphia School, Lawndale, North Carolina. She continued her education at Douglas School Lawndale, North Carolina. Ms. Alline was a meek and humble lady, her smile and love for life was infectious. No matter what she faced in life, she never complained. Her determination and motivation to keep persevering was influenced by one of her favorite songs “I’ll Be Alright.” Accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, she understood that Jesus would make everything alright. She was wise and compassionate; her laughter would make you smile. The way she would shake her head and flap her legs simultaneously when tickled or remembering moments in life was precious.
She worked as a housekeeper for Norris and Willene Snelling for 20 plus years. Ms. Alline also worked at Autumn Years for 14 years and Yelton’s Family Care Home for 7 years. She was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church until her health declined, but still made sure she gave to the Lord. Alline understood the beauty and blessings of tithing and giving God a sacrificial offering.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories, the love of her life, her biological son James Lewis Beam (Lannette). Ms. Alline had 17 sisters and brothers; only five are left to share in the fond memories: Samuel Beam Sr. (Dorothy), Johnny Beam, Docia Parks, Barbara Petty, and Janice Beam. In loving memory are Mildred Deal, Mary Geter, Ruby Beam, Alfred Beam, Roger Beam, Melvin Beam, Alvin Beam (Genelle), and two sets of twins. She has four grandchild, Kenyatta Eskridge, Tyrez Dabbs, Braxton Dabbs, and Takiyah Willis: and two great grandchildren Zyelle Eskridge and Ziniyah Eskridge and host of nieces and nephews, cousins; and a special friend Linda Elliott Rudasill.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Community Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM and at other times at 403 Falcon Circle Shelby.
