Mrs. Annie Mae Ross Roach, 73, of Kingstown, NC departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born onAugust 16, 1947 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Eddie and Dorinda Jones Ross.
Mrs. Annie Mae Ross Roach, 73, of Kingstown, NC departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born on August 16, 1947 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Eddie and Dorinda Jones Ross.
Annie Mae was a life long member of Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church in Grover, NC where she served as a deaconess, member of the the usher board and senior choir until declining health. Annie Mae was retired from Artee. When she was able, she loved to work in her yard planting flowers and working in her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Roach, Jr.; her brothers, J. P. Ross, J.W. Ross, Randolph Ross, Rudolph Ross, Robert Lee Ross and Woodrow Ross and sisters, Minnie Mae Montgomery, Margaret Ann Starnes and Sally Ann McClain.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorene “Mitten” Ross (Rufus); two sons, Danny “Pokey” Ross (Jennifer) and Chris Lowery (Tracy); five grandchildren, Montrell (Mashandia), Antwain, (DanNene) Vance,, Jada, Brianna; five great-grandchildren, Chris Montrell, Jr., Tytrell, A.J. and Dorinda; one sister, Doris McClain; one brother, Bobby Ross; brothers-in-law, Rick Starnes and Tommy Rowe; sisters-in-law, Slyvia Ross and Barbara Jean Ross; two nephews whom she had a special bond with Rev. Bryant Starnes (Danielle) and Ronnie Ross and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Roach will be private. Burial will take place at Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Cemetery. She may be viewed on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Annie Mae you are really gonna be missed I will forever remember making you laugh at work.My the good times me you and Mitten hadjust cutting up.
