Mr. Anthony ‘Tony’ Eugene Smith, 68, of Shelby, passed away on January 12, 2026 at CaroMont Health Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born on March 14, 1957 in Riverside, California to the late Curly Alaska Smith and Shirley King Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel, Shelby, NC at 12 noon. The reception of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon at the Chapel.

Tony was gem - kind, genuine, funny, dedicated and hard working. I'm glad to have known him and he will be greatly missed. Partners will definitely not be the same without him. Thoughts and prayers to Tony's family and friends.

I want to extend my condolences to the family. Tony was a good friend and co-worker. I worked with him for about 6 years. He helped in many ways at Partners & he will be missed so much. He was a hard worker, good hearted and had a great sense of humor. I was glad to know him as long as I did.
