Obituary For Augusta Catlin
Mr. Augusta James "Gus" Catlin, 68, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Lakewood Care Center in Denver, NC. He was born on October 15, 1951 to the late Rosa M. Roberts and Preston Catlin.
Augusta was a former member of Washington Baptist Church. He was a mechanic as well as a truck driver with A.V. Dedmon Trucking Company for 27 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Conroy Catlin and his sister, Mary Bostic.
He leaves to cherish fond memories to his son, Travis Watkins (Tara); two brothers, Gary Catlin of High Point, NC and Christopher Roberts (Kathryn) of Grover, NC; three sisters, Joan Catlin of High Point, NC, Sharon Roberts of Shelby, NC and Anna Roberts of Cherryville, NC; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service is planned for Monday, July 6, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM. The family is meeting at 100-7 Redrock Drive, Cherryville, NC.
