Mrs. Brenda Jean Thompson Jeter, 79, of Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026 at her residence. Brenda was born on September 17, 1946 in Boiling Springs, NC to the late Boyce Hopper and the late Clara Gertrude Freeman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Green Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM and at other times at 348 Circleview Drive Shelby, 28150 on Wednesday, July 15th - Friday, July 17th from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Lord my God, this really hurt my heart and made me sad to hear of my beautiful beloved friend Brenda. Awesome woman of God. Me and Brenda were the best buddies at CLEVELAND COUNTY DSS in the 90's and on afterwards. Her laugh and smile π would still your heart β€οΈ and she was funny on top of all that. Brenda was such a beautiful woman inside and out. I'm truly going to missed her deeply, but I'm definitely going to cherish our friendship and memories we shared at Dss. Our friendship was priceless! Ava & family my deepest condolences to all of you.your mom was the sweetest woman you could meet. Beautiful inside and out. She always called me niece and I called her auntie.
