Obituary For Cherilyn Willis

Ms. Cherilyn Huskey Willis, 67, of 117 Deer Meadows Lane #17 Lawndale, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her residence. She was born on April 3, 1955 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Anna Nance Huskey and the late George Glenn.

Cherilyn was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and going fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Richard Willis, Jr.; sisters, Lula Huskey, Viola Huskey and Georgia Ann White and brothers, Herndon Huskey, Joey Huskey and Floyd “Boot” Huskey.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her children, Jermaine Willis (Sonya), Ashley Sweezy (Brant), Rayvon Youngblood (Brooke), Stenson Willis and Karrel Willis; two daughters-in-love, Lannette Miller and Tiffany Smith; special God-children, Antione “Rabbit” Potlow and Wanda Wright (Joe); 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Huskey and Betty Jean Huskey; a nephew and niece who grew up as siblings,, Randy Huskey and Ann Huskey; a brother-in-law, Leroy White, Sr.; special cousin, Jenny Nance; special friends, Joyce Wellman, Brenda Jones, Alice Vanlue, Hattie Leary, Jake Lockhart (Selma), Marilyn Thompson, Carolyn “Poochie” Griffin and Archie Hill as well as a host of other God-children, nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM. The family received friends at the home on March 17th.
