Elder Cleve Eugene Brintley went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC on September 30, 1948 to the late Dolphus Brintley and Lillie Mae Corry Brintley.
Cleve Brintley was a very jolly and loving husband and father. He also worked as a painter and on the side he loved fishing and hunting. He was caring to everyone. And most of all he loved God.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Cleve Anthony Brintley; seven sisters, Mayola, Betty, Burnell, Brenda, Marian, Mary Jane and Geneva and six brothers, O.B., L.C., Eddie, Marshall, Ambrose and Dolphus.
He leaves to cherish his memory in the hearts of his wife of 53 years, B. Jackie Brintley; daughter, Carlland Weaver (Charles, III) of Kingstown, NC; one son, Norris Eugene Brintley (Teresa) also of Kingstown; sisters, Ida Mae Willis, Rose Corry, Margaret Vinson (Glen), Sue Miller (Robert), Elizabeth Millage, Annita Davis and Ruth Goodman; three grandchildren, Norris Rico Brintley, Talia Brintley and Kerria Weaver; one great-grandson, Hunter Jann and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Temple Holiness Church in Grover, NC. Burial will take place at Shoal Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
