Obituary For Dorothy Hopper
Ms. Dorothy Lee Adams Hopper, 87, affectionately known as “Mrs. Fitty”, was born on January 1, 1939 in Cleveland County, NC. She was born to the late Arthur Lee Adams and Annie Mae Brooks Adams, and was lovingly raised with the support of her late stepmother, Jane Adams. On August 19, 2026, she peacefully transitioned from this earthly life and entered eternal rest at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church, with burial at the church. The reception of family and friends will be from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m.

Add A CondolenceMy condolences to the family. I worked with Dot at Milliken Golden Valley in the late 70's and early 80's. I was a young manager and her work ethic and words of guidance made me a better person. I wish I had kept in contact with Dot. I only have good memories of her.

Even though life took me in a different direction after the passing of Stan, Ms. Dorothy will always hold a special place in my heart.
