Obituary For Doug Wilson

Mr. James Douglas “Doug” Wilson, 58, of 345 Oates Drive Shelby, NC departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at his residence. He was born on March 2, 1962 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Withrow Wilson, Sr. and Jessie Mae Wilson.

“Doug” as he was known by many, was a graduate of Crest High School. He was a self employed car detailer for many years which is something he truly enjoyed doing. Doug was a people person who loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed listening to music and dancing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eliza Wilson and an uncle, Larry Wilson, Sr.

He leaves fond memories of him to his sons, Alex Petty and Lutran Green both of Shelby; his sisters, Lena Mae Wilson of Asheville, NC, Lila Marie Wilson of Shelby, Janice Sue Wilson of Cherryville, NC and Joyce Ann Wilson of Galloway, NJ; two brothers, Withrow Wilson, Jr. of Shelby and Wendell Wilson (Fredia) of Savannah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel and at other times at the home. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.

Doug I know that you will be missed by your loving friends .I cannot say enough about how you loved Alex and Jeanette truly always letting the people know around you "THOSE Two was YOUR big babies .WE truly will miss that laughter ,smiling and street wise smartness you showed.We had fun times and some bad time but most of all that love you showed for them was so special.
