Mrs. Easter Lillie Long Huskey was born on April 25, 1943 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Luther Long and Minnie Lattimore Long on an Easter Sunday. She departed this life on April 9, 2022 at her residence in Boiling Springs, NC.
Easter was loved by everyone that knew her. She was a hard worker and was very independent. She worked at JC Dying Company in Shelby, NC, Gardner Webb University and was currently working at The Snack Shop in Boiling Springs. Easter was a member of Green Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Wade Wallace. Easter loved her family especially her son, Gregory, granddaughter, Wyshena Crank and her greatgrandchildren, Tyheim Huskey, Jessica Crank and Jessie Crank, III. She loved the Lord and she tried to treat everyone the way that she wanted to be treated.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Huskey; one daughter, Lillian Denise “Gail” Huskey; one brother, Charlie Lattimore; one sister Jennie Stover and a grandson, Brian O’Neil Hartgrove.
She is survived by one son, Gregory D. Huskey (Minnie); her beloved granddaughter, Wyshena Crank ( Jessie); two additional grandchildren, Felecia Bowers and Randy Boyce; three great-grandchildren, Tyheim Huskey, Jessica Crank and Jessie Crank, III; two sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Amanda Hopper; two special sisters-in-law, Evelyn Huskey and Alta Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to share her fond memories of life.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Green Bethel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

I have enjoyed helping Easter for the last 16 years. She was funny and smart and very independent. I would like to thank Wyshena for letting me spend time with her these past two weeks. I'm so proud to have called her my friend. We will meet again one day. Trudie Jones
