To Mrs Evelyn Yancey and J'ai's family, my heart was heavy to hear of this sudden passing of a new friend. His caring spirit lit up a room whenever I saw him with you. I will treasure the few memories we shared and will always hold him warmly in my heart. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏾🕊️

In fond memory of Flay Lee. As for so many others, my life was made better because of Flay. What a kind and beautiful soul he was. You will be truly missed and forever remembered.

We had great respect in honor for Flay and thank God that we were able to meet him on this journey on this side of heaven. His style, flair, friendliness, professionalism, and his smile was a gift to this world and will always be remembered.

My prayers go out to the family. It was such a blessing to know Mr. Flay. He taught me so much when I was his intern. He prepared me for my first job in the field. He treated me like family. I'm forever grateful for the experience he allowed me to have. He believed in me and even showed up to support me when I got my master's degree. He was such a kind soul. He will be missed.

Flay was the first person I met at South Carolina State in the fall of 1971. From that first day as brand new students, we remained lifelong friends. I will always cherish his calls and text messages at the beginning or end of almost every week over the years wishing me a good weekend or a good week. Farewell, my brother, and wear your heavenly wings well. "Jaco"
