Mrs. Gracie Leslie Parks, 72, of 2749 Philadelphia Road Lawndale, NC passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born on March 17, 1948 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Ira Matthew Leslie and the late Odessia Lula Mae Byers Leslie.
Mrs. Parks was a faithful member of Victory Life Assembly of God of Cherryville, NC. She retired from Dover Industries. She lived a faithful and loving life with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Leslie.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, James Parks; her daughter, Andoria Leslie Blanton (Pete) of Grover, NC; one grandchild, La’Dora Leslie Smarr (Baron); three great-grandchildren, Ty’Zhon Leslie, Azareyhia Smarr and Baron Smarr, Jr; all of Gastonia, NC; five sisters, Maggie, Smith, Marie West, Christine Howell (Thamon), Ruth Fuller (Robert) and Juanita Lattimore; five brothers, Marshall Leslie (Pam), Ben Leslie (Sabrina), Coleman Leslie (Louise), Odell Leslie (Francine) and Carl Leslie (Tammy); sister-in-law, Patsy Leslie; brother-in-law, J.B. Parks and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Parks will be private. The service will be livestreamed starting at 10:45 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2021. She can be viewed from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday at Victory Life Assembly of God in Cherryville, NC with a reception of friends at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Fallston, NC.
