Harold Williamson

‘He Is My Father”

He is my Father, He is my brother, He is my best friend. He is my Hero, nobody greater; Can I say that again?

He is my Father, He is my brother, He is my best friend. He’s on my Mt. Rushmore of spectacular men.

Harold Williamson, not many could touch his style, His class, his persona, his beautiful smile. Always sharper than a sword when he praised the Lord. The ground is level at the foot of the cross reassured.

He was different that’s a fact. Give you the shirt off his back. There are witnesses here today, who can attest to that.

Singing was his passion; Singing was his gift. Give him that microphone and he was a force to deal with. He was a father to every one of his Wondering Souls, Just ask them and they’ll tell you, but if you know them you know.

He taught us how to work; He taught us how to sing. He taught us how to be a man; He taught us everything. Created Williamson Brothers, Created H and J, And he taught us that it was crucial to pray.

Am I hurt, am I mad; Am I angry or sad; I’m just blessed by the man who I had as my Dad. To Momma Elaine, to all of my sisters, To all of my family and friends; And from every Wondering Soul; Until we see him again. We salute the Legend!

He is my Father, He is my brother, He is my best friend. He’s on my Mt. Rushmore, of spectacular men.

Until we meet again,

Ed Will, your son

Condolences & Tributes

Add A Condolence

We extend our sincere heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Harold L. Williamson, one of the true and sincere gentlemen of gospel music. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

May you find comfort in words of

1 Thessalonians 4 (KJV)

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

My condolences to the Williamson family. I met Mr. Williamson at Mr. Fredrick Degree funeral sometime ago, they used to sing quartet together. Mr. Williamson could really sang and so could Mr. Degree. Mr. Williamson was kind and sharp clean dresser. To be that sharp, he had to be a man of God. May God give you all strength and courage to stand up through this difficult time of grief.🙏🙏🙏 Love ❤️ and peace, Jackie Hopper of Kingstown Nc

It was an honor to care for Mr. Williamson. An absolute angel with a way of uplifting a room when he would start humming his music. I believe God brings you the right people at the right time in your life and Mr. Williamson was most certainly one of his messengers. We shared witnessing one of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen in North Carolina that I will carry with me forever, along with an early morning tune with my coffee (3 year old approved as her little curly head bounces to his music and snaps her fingers). I think heaven gained an angel that not only brought so much love home but one amazing spirit. Sending all my love and gratitude to his family at this time.
