Mr. Howard Lee Adams, Sr., 76, of Lincolnton, NC passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Atrium Health-Lincolnton. He was born on December 23, 1943 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Arthur Lee Adams and the late Lucy Jane Hartgrove Adams.
Howard was a jack-of-all-trades and wore many hats! Through his time on Earth, he had a carpet and painting business and ended his working career as an electrician. Howard enjoyed working in his garden, his dogs, racing cars, deer hunting, fishing, playing chess, watching western movies, and cooking. He also looked forward to eating special watermelon from Oklahoma. Howard is preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Thompson, Betty Gray, and his granddaughter, Shaakira Ross.
Howard is survived by his children, Howard Adams Jr., Patrick Ross, Melissa Myers, Christopher Bullock (Tanaya), Tangela Adams (Omar), and Deidra McGuire; his brothers and sisters: Dorothy Carelock, Dorothy Hopper, Jake Adams (Doretha), Carrie Marable, Felicia Griffin, Hazel Adams, Bobby Adams (Brenda), Patty Brown (Louis), Ronnie Adams, and Jane Dunford (Ollin); his grandchildren: Trevor Williams, Tiqwan Manning, Jazmin Littleford, Catia Bullock, Monae Bullock, Caleb Bullock, and Langston McGuire; special cousins: Jimmie Lee Hartgrove, Ella Sue Brewton, and Johnny Lewis Adams and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be private. The service will be live-streamed on Facebook starting at 1:45 PM. He can be viewed from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
