I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Reid, he taught my son Evan when he was little . From our first meeting I could tell Mr. Reid was a special man who was wonderful with children. When my Evan was about six he got upset with me and gave me a hard chop across the neck ! When I asked Mr. Reid to have a talk with him about that he sure did ! He took Evans belt away from him and told him he had to earn it back ! I loved that he not only taught the children marital arts he also taught them to be good humans . I'm so very sorry for your loss. Jennifer Burris
2 Timothy 4: 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Dear Cynthia and members of the Reid Family, friends, and mentees,
When I think of Calvin, I truly thank God on so many levels. He was a faithful Christian man. His faith was evident in the way he lived his life, the concerned that he demonstrated for all people, his commitment to his church family as well as his extended family.
As with many parents, we were blessed to have our daughter in the Jones Karate school with Sensei Jones and Mr. Reid.
Calvin not only fought the good fight, he taught others to fight the good fight of faith. I truly thank God that our paths crossed and am so thankful for the faithful service he gave to Grace Lutheran Church and the community. Now, I thank God for His healing in the presence of Jesus. Cynthia and family you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. The Reverend Donald E. Anthony, and Members of Grace Lutheran Church.
