John Billy Hunt was born January 4, 1950 in Cleveland County, NC to Lester Hunt and Mary Frances Hunt, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hunt; sister, Ann Browner; stepdaughter, Lisa Hill and David Saville, who was like a son. He was a faithful member of Jones Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Lawndale, NC, where he served as a Trustee and Church Treasurer. He loved his church family and helped the church wherever he could. Bill was always working with his hands as a brick mason, building homes, working his lawn care business and fixing and selling cars. He was a man of many talents and will be truly missed by many. Bill leaves to cherish many fond memories: His wife, Valerie Hunt; a daughter, Leslie Hunt; a stepson, James Hill; grandchildren, Avery Jordan, Jr (Talisha) and Tyler Hill; Brothers and Sisters, Bobbie Hunt (May) Jainne Mae Price (Thedosia), Louise Elmore, Barber Hunt, Johnny Coats, Corene Coats, Richard Coats, William Coats, Brenda Curry, Jeanette Barley, a host of nieces, nephews other relative and many other friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Hunt will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 3:00PM at Jones Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church . Burial will take place at Church Cemetery.
