Obituary For Jonathan Robinson

Mr. Jonathan Maurice Robinson, 58, of 212 Ramblewood Drive Apt. 38 Shelby, NC peacefully transitioned this earthly life on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County, NC on October 10, 1961.

He was a 1979 graduate of Shelby High School and was a member of Glimpse of the Kingdom Ministries. “Soul” was a proud mechanic whose passion was to work on cars and to cook for his family.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Robinson and also John Henry Magness.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his parents, Dorothy and Robert Robinson, Sr. both of Shelby; two brothers, Henri Robinson (the late Gloria) of Ellenboro, NC and Rodney Robinson (Tabitha) of Shelby; three sisters, Cynthia Ruff (Randy), Rosanna Dorsey and Anita Robinson-Toms (Olan) all of Shelby; six children, Lucillia Roberts of Cowpens, SC, Cornelius Ussery, Marchanti Ussery, Jonathan Ussery, Jr., Shawn Chambers and Candi Ussery all of Shelby; a special friend, Gilda Whistnant; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church and at other times 3024 Delano Place Shelby.
