Obituary For Laura Ann Koshefsky Roberts

Ms. Laura Ann Koshefsky Roberts, 72, of Waynesville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at VIA Health Partners-Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC. She was born on May 7, 1954 in Suffolk County, NY to the late Robert H. and Mary Loretta Sullivan Koshefsky.

Laura was absolutely tenacious. Her love of dance encouraged her to become an accomplished ball room dancer. She had a sassy quick wit and a brilliant smile. She loved her birds – Tikki, Cecil, Cricket, and Tootie.

Laura grew up in Commack NY, before her family moved to Florida. She was there for many years before falling in love with and moving to the mountains of North Carolina in 1996. There Laura found her passion as a neuromuscular massage therapist, devoting 30 years of her life to helping people find relief. She found much joy in helping people feel their very best.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Beckett and Dennis Koshefsky.

She has left cherished memories to her three children, Jeanne Patterson (Roberts), Jessica Roberts and Rick Roberts; sisters, Bonnie Koshefsky, Mary Alberti , and Colleen Koshefsky; grandchildren, Kaleb Roberts, Gabriel Abele and wife Heather, Elyas and Grace Patterson, Frankie and Dorian Gagnon; nephew, Dom Alberti; and countless cherished friends.
