Ms. Lillie Jane Horn, 102, departed this life for her eternal home on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her residence in Mooresboro, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC on April 18, 1919 to the late Charlie William Horn and the late Patsy Lucinda Edwards Horn.
She was a member of Mundy’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She was employed at Gardner Webb University until her retirement. She loved flowers and fishing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Horn Hall, Vernell Horn Johnson, Kathleen Horn Streater and Willette Horn Moore; three brothers, James Horn, Charlie Horn, Jr. and Alfred B. Horn.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Gary Horne (Annette) of Mooresboro, NC; a sister, Elizabeth Horn Mintz of Kings Mountain, NC; two grandchildren, Tamara Horne of Mooresboro, NC and Tyra Horne of Shelby, NC; four great-grandchildren, Diquan Spikes, Damean Spikes, Darius Horne and Miricale Spikes; special nieces, Deborah Watkins (John), Jane Davis, Angela Moore Downs, Freida Horn McBride, Lucinda Wilson, Carolyn Mintz Watkins, Odessa Peterson; special nephews, Willie Hall and Randy Moore; ans a host of other special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:30 AM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place at Mundy’s Chapel U.M.C. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the chapel.
Mrs. Jane. This lady whom we saw on occasion at the store and at church was the same each time, exuding her kindness and her resolve.
