I know it is months later but I just found out about Marcelette's passing. I met your mom at nursing home in Cherryville where she was care giver to Bill. I was caregiver to Nanny just across the hall from each other. We became friends immediately. I just loved her and we had so much fun. The reason I looked for her obituary was because she always called me on May 28 to sing Happy Birthday and I always got a card from her. I sent her card for the 31st and still no response. I knew something had happened. I know you miss her and you have my deepest sympathy BUT I know where she is and what a time she must be having because she truly loved the Lord. I turned 82 on my birthday and I know I will see her again soon. Just serve the Lord and look forward to that wonderful reunion.
To the family of my dear sister/friend Marcelette, you have my deepest condolences. "Marcie" always called me her "Gemini Twin" and her birthday was May 31 and mine is May 21. She never forgot to send me a birthday card or to be the first to call and sing happy birthday. I will truly miss my Gemini Twin. Rest in peace Marcelette. Your Ebenezer family will miss you too.
I have known Marcelette a long time through my husband Ned who worked at CNB. Ms. Rollins and Marcellette always told me about how he kidded them when they went to the bank...so much fun. I got to know Marcelette better after my husband's funeral and we kept in touch. I am older than Marcelette and the last time I saw her I had no way of realizing her health was so bad.I will surely miss her. God's Blessings to her family.
Marcelette was such a wonderful and loving person that I was blessed to meet when she worked for The Timken Company. I first met her in February, 1996. Her beautiful smile was so warm and endearing to everyone that she met. She was a very special lady that is going to be missed by so many of us. She was our "Celebrity" who charmed each of us with her smile and the way she treated each of us with so much love and respect. She loved her daughter, Arnetra, her grandson, Robert with all her heart, along with her siblings. She and I shared many stories of our childhood and how growing up with a big family was so much fun.
Marcy was an avid reader of many types of books, with history being a big favorite. However, nothing could take the place of her Bible. She read it every day and always had words of comfort to offer. She prayed for everyone and showed genuine concern for a person's needs. My wife met Marcy and Arnetra in August, 2016 when they came to stay with us and attend the Pro Football Hall of Fame game that featured her beloved Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, the game was canceled due to the paint on the logo not drying. However, we had a great time during their visit. To this day, people at church and relatives who met them during their visit continue to ask about them. She has been on our prayer list at church and is mentioned each Sunday.
Marcy was an inspiration to my wife during her time of illness and shared many a telephone conversation. Judy was a huge Ohio State fan and Marcy never told her that she did not like Ohio State. It was a secret that we shared. After Judy passed, Marcy, "my sweet little petunia pie," was an inspiration to me. She could always lift me with her stories.
I know that God now has Marcy in his loving arms and that we will continue to have her in our loving hearts. She is going to be missed but we can be thankful for the goodness and grace she instilled in every one of us during her lifetime.
My sincere condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with y'all during this time off loss.
