Obituary For Maurice Dixon

Maurice Dixon, Jr. Mr. Maurice Deshaun Dixon 42, departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at his residence in Chalotte, NC. He was born on December 20, 1979 in San Diego, CA to Gloria Mitchell Jennifer and the late Maurice Dixon, Sr.

Maurice traveled extensively as a child living in many different cities before relocating to North Carolina at the age of 12. He graduated from Shelby High School and attended Cleveland Community College.

Maurice was known for his kind, loving but straight forward personality. He enjoyed cooking on the grill, installing car sound systems and was a very good artist with a gift of using his hands. A media aficionado, he enjoyed movies and all genres of music. He also was a transformer collector and an animal rescuer.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thurman and Patricia Black.

He leaves to cherish a devoted wife, Farrah Bell; his mother, Gloria Mitchell Jennifer of MD; children, Sinaya Dixon, Shamerha Figgs, Anthony Bell, Jr., Isaiah Bell; grandchildren, Rylee Figgs and Luna Bell; a brother, Bruce Jennifer; an aunt who was like a second mother, Peggy Robbs and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the chapel.
