God called Mrs. Lonnie Mae Webber Bullard, “Sis” 91, of 3105 Harmon Homestead Rd. Shelby, NC from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby. She was born April 25, 1927 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Lonnie Otto and Florine Borders Webber and was their fourth oldest child.
Mrs. Bullard was a graduate of Washington High School and was retired from Mauney Mills in Kings Mountain, NC. She was a faithful member of Washington Missionary Baptist Church where she joined at an early age. She served through the years as a missionary, usher board member and choir member.
Mrs. Bullard loved her family especially her boys. She loved going out to eat, cooking, traveling and just being around all her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Bullard; two sons, Sylvester Bullard, Jr. and Webb MacArthur Bullard; five brothers, George Otto Webber, Elwood Webber, Raymond Webber, Paul Webber and James D. Webber and one sister, Mae Helen Webber.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, James Bullard, Sr. (Rachel) of Gastonia, NC, Coleman Bullard (Peggy), Randy Bullard (Sherry) and Leonard Bullard all of Shelby; one brother, Joe Webber of Shelby; thirteen grandchildren, Charles Bullard (Frances), Christopher Bullard, James Bullard, Jr. (Camilla), Charity Bullard, Crystal Bullard, Nelson Bullard (Bethanny), Justin Taylor, Johnathan Bullard, Kenaz Byers (Shekima), Khadijah Byers, Wesley Bullard, Tamara Mason and Michael Adams (Monique); twenty great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gladys Webber of Shelby; her little companion, Snoop and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Washington Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM on Saturday and at other times at the home.
