Obituary For Nora Thompson

Ms. Nora Denise “Nesse” Thompson departed this life on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born on September 27, 1960 in Clevleand County, NC to the late Adolphus Thompson, Sr. and the late Christine Lattimore Thompson.

“Nesse” as she was affectionately called was employed with Azdel for 20 years before her health declined. She was a doting mother to her daughter and loving sister being the youngest in her family. She had a big heart and would do anything she could to help anyone. She loved to dance and enjoyed reading and doing puzzles in her pastime.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Adolphus Thompson, Jr. and her sister, Luvenia Mixon.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her daughter, Christina “Tina” Thompson of the home; her sisters, Debra Poston, Tita Thompson,Teney Omega Thompson and Vera Mae Thompson all of Shelby and Mary Carolyn Thompson of Boiling Springs, NC; fifteen nieces and nephews; thirty four great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends

The funeral service for Ms. Thompson will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the chapel. Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
