Mrs. Ola Mae Adams Tate, 89, of Shelby, NC passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Atrium Health- Cleveland in Shelby. She was born on October 15, 1931 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Jim Adams and the late Janie Mason Adams.
Ola was a loving and dedicated wife to the late Fred Tate.
She was a member of Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. She had a great sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Lee, Tom, Jesse, Odell, Collie, and June Adamsand four sisters, Viola Adams, Mae Rainey, Daisy Byers and Corrie Mintz.
She leaves to cherish fond memories a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces; three adopted sons: Jamie, Christopher, Jerome Tate; and friends she made while at Cleveland Pines.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tate will be private. She may be viewed at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, April 23, 2021. The family will be receiving friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church on Friday. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.

Aunt Ola Mae had a smile that lead up the room when she walked in. She loved children and her family. She had a really huge heart and a lot of love to give. She will be truly missed. I love you.
