Obituary For Reginald Proctor

Mr. Reginald Bernard Proctor, 67, of Shelby, NC, was born on February 19, 1959 in Rowan County, NC to the late Arthur Jay Proctor and Nellie Lockhart Proctor. He passed away on July 23, 2026, at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Reginald enjoyed writing poetry, watching old western television shows, and movies. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was affectionately known as ‘Ragtail’ to his close family. He also loved his famous Dallas Cowboys, where you could find him sitting in front of the television, screaming and yelling for his favorite team.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Proctor; a son Christopher; and his brother Herschel Proctor.

He is survived by his daughter April Littlejohn Gory; three granddaughters, Zyab Littlejohn, Zariyah Littlejohn, and Maci Gory; grandson, Trey Gory; two great granddaughters Tya Allen and Jaidyn Adams; two brothers, Lee Arthur Proctor and Samuel Emil Proctor (Sherry); three sisters, Melinda Proctor Mastroni, Dorothy Denise Proctor, and Frances Darlene Proctor; and a host of nieces, nephews,family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
