Rosie was born to the late Lola M. Morris and to the late Thamer James "Bus" Elliott Sr. on April 13, 1951 in Cleveland County North Carolina.
Rosie graduated from Crest High School in Shelby, NC in 1972 with the love and support of her family and friends.
Following her heart, Rosie decided to relocate to Memphis, TN in 1973, where she married her best friend since childhood Dennis R. Webber and raised their two beautiful daughters. Due to her loving and caring personality, she soon had a host of friends that would eventually become family.
During her nearly 50-yearresidency in Memphis TN, Rosie was employed with Nylon Net and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts until deciding on a career change in May 1980.For the next 27 years, Rosie became one of the most dedicated and loyal employees of Eurofins Scientific dba Woodson Tenent Laboratory-Memphis TN.
Upon retiring from Eurofins Scientific, Rosie followed her heart yet again and relocated back to her home of Shelby, NC. After settling back in Shelby, Rosie became employed with Cleveland Vocational Industry for seven years until her health declined.
Rosie heard our Father say,“Well done dear child, your mission is complete, now take your rest” and peacefully entered into the kingdom of heaven early on the morning of November 16th, 2022 at 4:50 am at her residence.
Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, her aunt Maggie Washburn-Degree that raised her and her several siblings, Molly Morris, Mary Gaston, Jackie Morris, Raymond Morris, Chinetta Adams, TellisavalasDondrake Morris, Frances D. Morris, and Eloise Elliott
Precious memories will always linger in those Rosie leaves behind. She touched the lives of so many, but the emptiness is felt most by her daughters, Sarah D. "Cookie" Morris (Latron Cherry) of Shelby, NC;Farrah D. Webber (Michael Shumpert) of Memphis, TN; her only beloved granddaughter Nickaila D. Scott of Memphis, TN, the father of her children and lifelong friend Dennis R. Webber of Memphis, TN, and her loving companion of 6 years James Crotts of Shelby, NC, sisters Elizabeth (Gregory) Burton of Charlotte NC, Parthenia Logan Shelby, NC, brothers Joe Lewis Morris (Christine) of Shelby, NC, John Lewis Morris of Shelby, NC, and Bobby Joe Morris of Kings Mountain, NC, Thamer James Elliott Jr. (Frances) of Morganton; NC, William Bridges (Betty) of Shelby, NC, special nephews, Terry L. Morris of Charlotte, NC, and Bobby Travon Morris of Kings Mountain, NC, her great niece and nephews Janae’ S. Morris, Ta'hiem P. Morris, Maasi Morris and great-great niece Alyce Frances Morris (Mommie's Beauty) of Charlotte, NC. Rosie also leaves a host of nieces and nephews all of Shelby, NC, and her best friend Ms. Linda Kilgore also of Shelby NC.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. She may be viewed on Friday December 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM and at other times 414 Miles Road Shelby, NC.
