We are sorry for your loss. May God comfort and give you all strength.

We met "T" at New Hope MBC in Charlotte when he was a child. He was very polite and wise for his age. He always had a smile and could hold a conversation with any age group. A funny memory: Pastor and First Lady Houze had two dogs, Rusty and Spunky. Rusty was a large dog, and Spunky was very small, loved to bark and tried hard to be aggressive lol (couldn't harm anyone). One Sunday after service, someone kept addressing Spunky by the wrong name---Spanky. "T" politely said, "no its Spunky". "T" laughed so hard at the name Spanky then his Pa Pa (Pastor Houze) began to tell jokes. "T" was holding his stomach from laughter, and his laughter was contagious. We laughed until tears rolled. Eventually the name Spanky became an inside joke, lol.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Torryce Houze.

Rev. Charlie and Dee Huey
