Obituary For Tyrone Ruff

Mr. Franklion Tyrone Ruff, 44, of Shelby, NC departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby. He was born on September 19, 1977 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Johnny Frank Surratt and Barbara Jean Ruff Stroud.

“Tyrone” attended Crest High School. He was a member of White Oak Springs Baptist Church in his younger years. He was a great father who loved his children and was always concerned about their well being. He enjoyed watching sports for entertainment and was a video game fanatic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Lizzie Ruff and paternal grandfather, Frank Surratt.

He leaves fond memories to his children, Katlyn Rodriguez (Anthony) of Seattle, WA, Kelsey Ruff, Shelby, Franklion Tyron Ruff, Jr. and Giovanni Tyrek Ruff all of Shelby; two brothers, James Iverson Stroud and Franklin Stroud; two sisters, Tasha Miller (Jeffrey) and Kelly Surratt all of Shelby; two aunts, Nicole Miller and Mae Dawkins (Warren) both of Shelby; one uncle, Freddie Johnson (Nadine) of CT; special friends, Junior Campbell, Tavaris Brooks and Keon Surratt and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 4:00 PM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
