Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Battle will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Enterprise Funeral Home. Rev. Dwight Herlong, Pastor of Newell Chapel Church will officiate. Burial will be held in the MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS at 1:00PM
Mrs. Battle, 80, worked as a domestic engineer in her home. She leaves to cherish her fond memories her family which includes a devoted husband, Joe Battle, Jr of Meridian; 3 sons, Joe (Rosemary) Battle, III of Decatur, MS; Rolland (Tameka) Battle and Patrick Battle both of Meridian; 4 daughters, Antonia (Aubrey) Bland of King George, VA; Tracey Crawford, Tina Battle-Brown and Hope (Melvin) Battle Greer all of Meridian; 2 brothers, William Davis of London, England and Charles Davis of Biloxi, MS. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 6-7:00PM at Enterprise Funeral Home. Enterprise Funeral Home has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
