Obituary For Mrs. Julia Rice
Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Rice will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00AM at 1st Apostolic Church of Meridian located 2010 Mosby Road in Meridian. Pastor John Harris, former Pastor of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Savoy, MS will officiate.
Mrs. Rice, 109, passed on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Trend Nursing Care Facility. She worked as a domestic engineer for her family during her lifetime. She leaves to cherish her fond memories 1 son, Willie F. Rice of Meridian; 7 daughters, Rose Brown and Mable (Cleveland) Stringfellow of Meridian; Dorothy (Silas) Dickson of Oakwood Village, OH; Ida Bea Delk, Annie Gaddis and Pearl (Bishop Dennis E.) Huggins of Meridian and Patricia Jones of Bedford, OH; 48 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th from 6 - 7:00PM and also 1 hour prior to funeral services on Thursday from 10 - 11:00AM. Burial will be held in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Savoy, MS. Enterprise Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
