It is with our deepest sympathy to announce the passing of Ms. Devonda Adrianna Sands 48, on May 9, 2026 in Miami, Florida. Ms. Devonda was a beautiful and vibrant person. She had a smile that would brighten a room but had a sternest when it came to talking about life and how to carry yourself. She will be greatly missed by her children, siblings and relatives and friends.

To the family and friends of Dee, My heart goes out to you during this very difficult time. For me, it is hard to accept the idea that Dee has passed away. She was more than a colleague or a co-worker, she was (and always will be) my friend. For many years, Dee and I laughed together, cried together, and shared our own secrets, vowing to support one another, during any time of need. I already miss her. And in the coming days, weeks and months, should you need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to talk to, please know that I am here for you. May God be with you.
Dee,
You were always a force to be reckoned with, your energy and compassion for anything and everything you did in life was second to none. Because of that you always inspired those around you and made them a little better and wiser. I am thankful for the last twenty years we worked together, especially the last 6+ years when we became even closer working hand in hand to get business done, could not have asked for a better person to do it with. I am a better person because of having known you and the impact you left on me, and for that I will always be grateful! You will be sorely missed but not forgotten. Rest easy Sunshine!

Working with Dee many years at Miami Dade County, she was a force of nature and loved to joke around. It was with great sadness I heard of her passing and just recently I had thought to call her as I had retired almost 3 treats ago but too late. She was too young, I'm sorry.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
