Mary Wiggins and the Funchess Family send our deepest condolences to you all. Rev. Rosa was a stellar bible teacher. She imparted so much knowledge and wisdom and insights into what the word meant and how to apply it. Although she is resting in the arms of Jesus Christ now, she will be forever remembered in the hearts of the ones whose lives she touched. May God comfort you during this season change in your lives as you remember her as we will.

Sister Rosa songs of praise will always be remembered for "The work she did spoke for her". The Bible Study meetings at the church, her solos with her Sister Julia on the piano, the many words of wisdom and encouragement will forever be in our hearts. To the Family, There are seasons in life that feel like a steep, exhausting climb, and during those times, Ms. Rosa was an anchor of quiet and steady resilience for so many of us. The grace and love she shared with others were a direct reflection of the beautiful heart she brought home to each of you every day. As we look back on her brilliant life of kindness, faith, and ministry—expressed through her warm smile, music, and kind works—we are filled with immense gratitude for her.

Thank you for sharing her with the Wake Forest community and the world. Her legacy of kindness lives on deeply in my heart and in the lives of everyone she lifted up.

My favorite song that she and her sister Ms. Julia Ann sang was "Rough Side of the Mountain." They sang it with such conviction and passion, and it still lifts my spirits today. Each time I hear it, I am taken back to a wonderful time when I got to watch them practice and sing it in church.

I am holding you all close in my thoughts and wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
